Obviously, a cheap weekend break destination shouldn't be too far from where you live: driving for hours just for a mini-break isn't worth the effort! Off the beaten track: dare to venture into France's hidden nooks and crannies!

Low-income families who like to explore unusual places can head to inland France or less touristy areas! France is packed with small rural villages worth visiting. Adults and kids alike will find plenty to do at the weekend. For example, there's the Résidence Le Relais du Plessis, located in the Indre-et-Loire department, where families on a cheap break can enjoy a warm welcome in peaceful, natural surroundings.

The mountains: a nature weekend with plenty of fresh air.

Mountainous regions in summer make for great weekend destinations! The snow may have melted and the chairlifts may be closed, but the mountains are still bursting with activities! Thanks to the ski lifts you can quickly and easily reach the peaks and enjoy downhill mountain biking or scooter racing, paragliding, or simply go for a walk.
