A ski holiday in Valmorel: with Italy on your doorstep 

Just 20 minutes by car from the Valmorel resort, Doucy-Valmorel is a resort dedicated to la dolce vita, Savoy-style. You won’t be surprised to learn that it’s just a stone’s throw from the Italian border and Gran Paradiso national park. A village resort that is entirely pedestrianised, you’ll find yourself deep in the heart of the refreshing and typically Savoyard atmosphere. On the forest’s edge, the Doucy resort has beautiful walks and panoramas to take your breath away! 

The highlight of your stay in Doucy is of course the Grand Domaine. 96 ski slopes spread over a total of 165km, within a ski area of 3600 hectares.  To make the most of your stay, opt for an all-inclusive skiing holiday:

This way, you’re all set from the very beginning of your vacation. Another tip: don’t miss a trip to the Refuge Gourmand, a short distance from the Residence Beauregard, to stock up on local products! Unless, of course, you’d prefer to go and sample the local specialities in one of the many restaurants in the resort or at an altitude in Valmorel.

If you’re having your breakfast outdoors at Beauregard, you might want to put your sunglasses on first thing. The glare from the slopes could certainly damage your beau regard (aka your precious eyes!) Don’t forget to reapply your suncream throughout the day either, after falling head over heels for our chalet apartment, we don’t want you to start burning up!

A chalet apartment in Valmorel: your ski holiday accommodation

Certified Family Plus, the Valmorel ski resort is perfect for the whole family. Our Piou-Piou clubs welcome children aged from 5 to 12 to help them make their first steps into the world of skiing and sledging. 

During this time, older children and adults can head for the ski lifts which can be found nearby your chalet in Valmorel. Now it’s over to you for going full pelt down the black runs! (Don’t worry, there are plenty of more gentle, green slopes too.) Skiing, snowboarding, Nordic walking, snowshoeing... and even a dog sledge for the perfect holiday!

The Valmorel resort is magnificent in summer when its peaks are adorned with beautiful mountain flowers. It’s the perfect season to enjoy walks and hikes in the Lauziere mountains or the Vanoise National Park.
