Renting a chalet in Doucy: feeling like in a fairytale

The resorts are a hit with everyone, for those seeking well-being and leisure as much as thrill seekers and animal lovers. Start with a short wander around the Montagne de Tete for your first outing. The next day, head for la boucle de Creve-Tete: the path is quite steep - you can take the gondola if needed. And, as the fresh air sure works up an appetite, you’ll be thrilled to discover the many local restaurants next to your chalet rental in Doucy. Rioutes, crozets and matefan, Saint Genix and rissoles await! Having trouble understanding the menu? A perfect opportunity to strike up a conversation with your waiter, who will be glad to talk you through the local delicacies. 

Something else that gives this ski resort its charm, are the small surrounding villages. Visit Raclaz (for some raclette, maybe?), Le Régnier, Le Villaret, Le Fey or even Le Meiller, with their houses built in the traditional style mixing stone and wood.

If you feel like cooking up some local produce yourself, head for the Les Avanchers market, in Doucy-Valmorel. It’s held all year round, on Mondays and Fridays, in the town centre in the mornings. There you’ll find cheese, blueberry tarts, and local farm products that are particularly tasty.

Our kids’ club offers the youngest an introduction to snow sports while animal lovers will be thrilled to experience a ride on a dog sled. The surroundings of your Doucy rental chalet are also criss-crossed with trails to hike in your snowshoes. The Doucy adventure circuit is even home to a bobsleigh track - if you feel like living out your Cool Runnings dreams!
