What can you do during your holiday in Corsica?

Porto Vecchio is the third biggest city in Corsica and the main tourist city. You will love its famous beaches (Palombaggia, Rondinara and Santa Giulia). We also suggest you visit the citadel and then settle down on a restaurant terrace for some Corsican specialities: cold meats, cheese and wine. By the way, do you know about the typical Corsican dishes? Definitely try migliacciu (pizza made with local goat's cheese) and fiadone (a lemon and brocciu cheesecake).

What can you do in the area near your Porto Vecchio holiday rental?

Get up at dawn and go for a day's or half-day's hike! There are marked trails for all tastes. If you're looking for an accessible and short hike, go for Castellu d'Arraggio. It takes just 40 minutes and includes superb views of the Gulf of Porto Vecchio and the sea. For a day trip, head to the Alta Rocca around Zonza and Quenza. The walking route takes 5.5 to 6 hours, but you will travel along shady paths and follow the streams. Ideal during hot weather! Tip: download the Visorando app to see all the hikes in the region.

Feel like freshening up a bit? Enjoy Corsica's many beaches and creeks. Lots of activities are available at Porto Vecchio's beaches including kitesurfing, scuba diving, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. There is something for everyone.

During your holiday in Corsica, there is one trip you must do! Visit the Lavezzi Islands. This is an archipelago of 23 islands 10 km south-east of Bonifacio. They offer stunning landscapes and translucent waters! Tip: if you want to take a photo worthy of a postcard, go very early (to avoid the tourists).
