  Le hameau du Somail

  During the construction of the Canal du Midi by Pierre-Paul Riquet, he decided to create a port that would be a stopover between Toulouse and the Mediterranean. The Hameau du Somail thus dates from the 17th century with its chapel, its stone bridge, an inn, warehouses and an ice-house. In summer, the hamlet is very lively.
